140 stk kom på Fiesta Cubana på Biks i Bergen. Dj Mojito frå salsacubana miksa plater saman med Dj Charanga og Dj Fuerza frå Timba Night. Arrangementet var eit samarbeid mellom Timba Night og ilovesalsacubana.

About Us!
We are two friends that want to share our strong passion for contemporary Cuban salsa music. In september 2006 we arranged a party called Timba Night; at the club Macumba in Bergen, we played non-stop Cuban salsa music from 20.00 till 23.00. The response was great, and we soon decided to make it a permanent concept, arranging it the first tuesday every month. In January 2007 we also, in co-operation with http://www.ilovesalsacubana.com/, arranged a huge Cuban salsa party: Fiesta Cubana. This party attracted as much as 239 guests, that enjoyed dancing to cuban salsa and timba exclusively all the night, after an intro-course. The great success of this party has lead to that we are going to arrange Fiesta Cubana twice this season: the first party is on September 29 with DJ Mojito, Oslo as co/guest-DJ, and the other one is February 2 with co/guest-DJ Flaca and guest instructur Geldys Morales/Cuba.
We have a huge CD-collection, which includes almost all Cuban salsa recordings from 1990 till today. We also buy every new Cuban salsa recording as soon as they get on the market.
We play not only the brand new stuff, but also "older" (15-1 years old...) and not-so-common tunes that we think deserve being played again. Even though we both love Cuban salsa music, we have different favourites and preferences, and therefore we think we give our audiences the best mix when we both play during a night. And we also support each other during the party preparations.
Why do we love cuban salsa music? The deep grooves, the great handcraft of the musicians, the power and energy, the great variety, the complex rhythms, the great singers... Cuban salsa music has a spirit like no others, and it is definately the most fun to dance and listen to! We want to share this passion with, and promote cuban salsa music to, as many as people possible, both dancers and others. Some of our favourites are Los Van Van, Pupy, Manolito, Manolín, Maikel Blanco, Klimax, Bamboleo, Pachito Alonso, Azucar Negra, Elito Revé, Samá y el Expreso, Paulito, Michel Maza, Calle Real, Charanga Habanera, Tiempo Libre, Angel Bonne and a lot more!

Kubansk helg i Bergen 2- 3. februar 2008 med Geldys Morales
2-3. februar 2008 vil Timba Night og ilovesalsacubana arrangere kubansk helg i Bergen.
Geldys Morales vil undervise i cuban body movements, son og rumba.
Ho er hovedinstruktør for salsanor i Stavanger. Ho underviser også for danseglede i Oslo, var instruktør på kubansk helg i august og er invitert til Hot Salsa Weekend.
I samband med kurshelga vert det Fiesta Cubana lørdag 2. februar.
